1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Viper LTDA, registered under Brazilian company number (CNPJ) 51.663.220/0001-36, with its registered office at Rua Manoel Medeiros Guedes, 12, Sala 201, Cx. Postal 355, Manaíra, João Pessoa - PB, 58038-360, Brazil ("we", "our", "Company"), handles information belonging to users of the MapFindr application ("Application", "App").
In short: MapFindr does not collect personal data. The Application runs entirely on your device, with no sign-up, no servers of ours, and no information sent to the Company or to third parties.
Data handling follows the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13.709/2018 – LGPD) and other applicable rules. This document forms part of and supplements our Terms of Service.
2. Data We Do Not Collect
To leave no room for doubt, MapFindr does none of the following:
- It requires no sign-up or login: we do not collect names, e-mail addresses, passwords, avatars or social network profiles;
- It displays no advertising and uses no ad networks;
- It uses no analytics, heatmap, session recording or crash reporting tools;
- It collects no location data, neither precise GPS nor approximate network-based location;
- It sends no push notifications and collects no notification token;
- It collects no advertising identifiers and performs no tracking across apps or websites;
- It offers no in-app purchases and no subscription;
- It does not sell, rent or share personal data with third parties — because it does not collect any.
3. Information Stored on Your Device
MapFindr saves a small amount of information in your device storage, solely so the game can resume where you left off between sessions. This information is never sent to us or to third parties:
These records stay on the device and are not linked to you or to any personal or device identifier.
- Progress per game mode: rounds played, correct answers, mistakes and countries already mastered;
- Your day streak, including the best streak and the date you last played;
- Sound, visual effects and notification preferences — the latter reserved for a future feature, since the current version sends no notifications;
- The interface language you selected;
- The default display name of the guest profile.
4. Offline Operation
Everything the game needs — the world map, the country outlines, the flags and the fonts — ships inside the Application itself. MapFindr works without an internet connection and makes no network requests while you play.
The only exception occurs when you tap the links to this Privacy Policy or to the Terms of Service on the Settings screen: your device browser then opens our website, mapfindr.app, which is informational and likewise uses no analytics or tracking tools.
5. Information Handled by the App Stores
Downloading, installing and updating MapFindr is handled by the App Store (Apple) and Google Play (Google). Those platforms process their own information — such as download records, your store account details and, if you allow it in your device settings, crash reports and usage statistics sent directly to them.
They do so as independent controllers, under their own privacy policies, and this gives us no access to your personal data.
6. Retention and Deletion
Because the information stays only on your device, you are fully in control of it. To erase it, simply uninstall the Application or clear its data in your operating system settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent, and no copy exists on our side.
We keep no user records, backups or databases relating to the Application.
7. Your Rights as a Data Subject
The LGPD grants you rights such as confirming whether processing exists, and accessing, correcting, anonymising, porting, deleting and obtaining information about the sharing of your data.
Since we neither collect nor store personal data from users of the Application, there is in practice no data in our custody to access, correct or delete.
If you write to us — for example, by sending a support message — we will handle the information in that contact, such as your e-mail address and the content of your message, solely to answer your request. You may exercise your rights over that data at any time by writing to support@mapfindr.app.
8. Information Security
By design, MapFindr neither transmits nor stores personal data on any system of ours, which keeps the exposure surface to a minimum. Information saved locally remains protected by the isolation and security mechanisms of your device operating system.
No system is entirely secure; even so, we remain committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who uses the Application.
9. Children's Privacy
MapFindr is rated for people aged 10 or older. We collect no data from any user, and therefore none from children or teenagers either.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Should a future version of the Application begin to collect data — for example, by introducing accounts, advertising or cloud sync — this document will be revised before that version is released, and material changes will be communicated by reasonable means, such as a notice in the Application.
The "Last updated" date indicates the version in force. Continued use after changes means you are aware of the revised Policy.
