1. Acceptance of the Terms
Welcome to MapFindr ("Application", "App", "Service"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of the Application, provided by Viper LTDA, registered under Brazilian company number (CNPJ) 51.663.220/0001-36, with its registered office at Rua Manoel Medeiros Guedes, 12, Sala 201, Cx. Postal 355, Manaíra, João Pessoa - PB, 58038-360, Brazil ("we", "our", "Company").
By downloading, accessing or using MapFindr, you declare that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Application.
2. Description of the Service
MapFindr is an educational geography game in which you identify countries by tapping their location on an interactive world map. The Application offers three identification modes — name and flag, flag only, and capital city — continent and world maps, progressive difficulty levels, and local tracking of your progress and day streak.
The Application runs entirely on your device and does not depend on an internet connection.
We may, at our discretion, modify, suspend or discontinue any feature of the Application, in whole or in part, at any time, with or without prior notice.
3. Eligibility and Minimum Age
MapFindr is intended for people aged 10 or older, in line with the age rating of the Application on the app stores. By using the Application, you declare that you are at least that age. Anyone considered a minor under applicable law must use it with a legal guardian's consent and supervision, where the law permits.
The Application collects no data from any user, as detailed in the Privacy Policy.
4. Use Without an Account
MapFindr has no sign-up, login or user accounts. You play as a guest, and your progress is stored only on your device.
As a result, progress is not synced across devices and will be lost if you uninstall the Application or clear its data. Please bear this in mind before removing the App.
5. Rules of Use
When using MapFindr, you agree not to:
We may suspend or terminate your access if these Terms are breached.
- Use the Service for unlawful or unauthorised purposes;
- Interfere with, overload or compromise the security or operation of the Application;
- Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code, except where the law permits;
- Use automated means, cheats or exploits to manipulate results, scores or streaks;
- Reproduce, distribute or commercially exploit the Application without authorisation.
6. Free App, No Advertising and No Purchases
The current version of MapFindr is free and fully functional: it shows no advertising, offers no in-app purchases and has no subscription.
Should future versions introduce advertising, paid features or a subscription, these Terms and the Privacy Policy will be updated before that release, and the applicable conditions will be presented to you at the time of purchase.
7. Intellectual Property and Third-Party Materials
MapFindr, including its design, interface, code, brand, logo and original content, belongs to Viper LTDA or its licensors and is protected by applicable law.
The Application incorporates third-party materials under open licences, whose notices are preserved as required: country outlines derive from the Natural Earth cartographic dataset, which is in the public domain; flag icons come from the open source flag-icons project; and map rendering uses the MapLibre GL JS library.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the Application under these Terms. No further rights are granted.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
MapFindr collects no personal data. There is no sign-up, advertising, analytics or tracking, and no information is sent to us or to third parties: your progress and preferences remain solely on your device.
The details are set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and follows the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13.709/2018 – LGPD).
9. Geographic Content
The cartographic data and the information about countries and capitals are provided for educational and entertainment purposes, drawn from public reference datasets.
Borders, names and capitals may differ between sources or change over time. The representation used in the Application expresses no political position of the Company on any territorial dispute.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
MapFindr is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure or that it will meet any particular expectation.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Viper LTDA shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits arising from the use of or inability to use the Application.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liabilities that cannot be excluded under Brazilian law, including consumer rights set out in the Consumer Protection Code.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by reasonable means, such as a notice in the Application. The "Last updated" date indicates the version in force. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without prior notice, if these Terms are breached or if the law requires it.
You may stop using the Service at any time by ceasing to use the Application and uninstalling it from your device.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. The courts of João Pessoa - PB are elected as the competent forum, waiving any other however privileged, save for the consumer's right to bring proceedings in the courts of their own domicile under applicable law.
